Charter Sales Manager

The role:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Charter Sales Manager will play a crucial role in our client's growth, working within a proactive team and acting as the main point of contact for all charter and customer enquiries. In a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment, the Charter Sales Manager will help coordinate customer requests, provide quotations, and manage bookings, delivering a customer-focused and responsive solution to a diverse range of requests.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive international market strategy aligned with the airline’s overall business objectives.
Identify revenue growth and market expansion opportunities, including new routes, partnerships, and customer segments.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine strategies.
Lead and mentor the commercial team to meet or exceed targets.
Manage and respond to all charter enquiries, including out-of-hours requests.
Quote, contract, and coordinate ad-hoc charters and wet leases, including contract negotiation.
Oversee tour operator sales and programme management.
Provide accurate, competitive pricing and manage the charter pricing system.
Coordinate booked charters end-to-end, liaising with customers and internal departments.
Perform post-flight follow-up and reconciliations with customers.
Coordinate tactical and strategic capacity marketing and availability.
Track competitor and market activity.
Build and maintain relationships with key corporate clients and stakeholders.
Lead contract negotiations with partners, suppliers, and service providers.
Maintain a customer and enquiry database, handling all sales process administration.
Collaborate with Operations on crewing, aircraft availability, and airport suitability.
Represent the company at industry and flight events related to charter operations.
Implement CRM and charter pricing software solutions.
Conduct customer relationship management, including client meetings and ensuring high service standards.
Support the Commercial Director with seasonal lease management, including generating relevant reports and reconciliations.
Essential experience & knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the airline industry, including at least 5 years in a commercial role.
In-depth knowledge of the aviation market, including business culture, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing a sales pipeline.
Experience in implementing international projects and collaborating with foreign organisations and companies.
Strong interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills.
