Account Manager - Negotiable Salary - USA
We're looking for an account manager who has the ability to balance competing priorities, and who is able to identify possible courses of action and make appropriate decisions under competitive market conditions.
The role:
You will be responsible for managing air charter flights on behalf of our clients, including using your discretion and judgment to select executive aircraft, flight crews, catering, and other vendors while balancing customer expectations and budget. Your decisions will have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line; you will be expected to deliver revenue and profitability in accordance with agreed financial targets. You will also be expected to deliver superior service while managing a portfolio of on-demand charter and customers. Primary duties will include selecting and sourcing of aircraft and other vendors, maintaining awareness of client needs and trends within the industry, and managing all aspects of flight planning and logistics on behalf of clients. It will also be necessary on occasion to be included in various field activities such as sales presentations, supplier relations and visits, flight visits, and domestic and international travel as needed. This position reports to the Vice President, Private Jets.
Accountabilities:
General responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Evaluate client needs, pricing, availability, and other relevant market factors to select the most appropriate executive aircraft, crew, and other vendors for each charter, including executing contracts as necessary
Support client bookings in all aspects of day-to-day trading, including taking appropriate steps to resolve grievances and handle unexpected occurrences
Ensure that flights comply with US Part 135 and international regulations applicable to the charter market
Achieve targets set for each financial year by making good business decisions and exceeding customer expectations
Maintain and grow existing client base
Analyze market conditions, competitors’ capabilities, rate tolerance, and other factors to produce timely and well-researched quote responses
Ensure all enquiries and bookings are entered correctly into CRM
Support the Group’s Customer First initiative to its full extent
Conduct sales calls and client visits as directed by your manager and in line with annual KPIs
Identify new sales and cross-selling opportunities
Work with the Outside Sales team to effectively manage client relationships and flight logistics
Ensure job flight files are updated and closed correctly
Full compliance with company procedures and protocols
Provide support for Out of Hours coverage
Provide updates to VP on the sales pipeline

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Understanding of Part 135 Charter market and regulatory environment
Ability to analyze data and incorporate it into a sound decision-making process
Strong negotiation and quantitative skills
Capable of making a high volume of decisions each day
Flexible, calm under pressure, and able to create/implement solutions to unique problems
Customer-focused with good people skills
Previous experience working in an international broking environment
Previous sales or customer service experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of the company's booking system
A logical approach to problem-solving
