Role purpose:
​
We are currently seeking a keen new starter to support our client's rapid growth in new business. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the "ins and outs" of private aviation, and the role will act as a great springboard to launch your career.
The Charter Business Development Trainee position will report to the Head of Commercial Operations, and support the company's mission in driving both on-fleet and off-fleet sales through our suite of products. Additionally, they will develop their own book of business alongside nurturing the existing client base. The ideal candidate will be driven, a self-starter, and have the ability to work in and out of the office in a fast paced environment. Although experience in private aviation is preferred, you will be exposed to and brought up to speed on prospecting/business development, client management, and aircraft operations.

​Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Commercial Operations with the company's existing client base and delivering on their flying requirements.

Prospecting databases to develop new clients via cold calls, emails and visits.

Develop and close new business opportunities.

Meet and exceed assigned targets as implemented.

Receive and deliver on inbound requests for urgent trip requirements 24/7 from both internal and external clients.

Updating the company's CRM.

Organising site visits to the company's hangars for qualified prospects.

Work effectively with all departments to ensure bookings and flights are achieved efficiently and on time.

Manage charter bookings from enquiry to completion, to include but not limited to ground transportation, catering requests, and flight following.

Who you are:

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to develop relationships with new and existing customers.

IT literate with experience of MS Office applications.

Strong attention to detail.

Preferred skills:
​

Experience dealing with UHNWI and VVIP clients.

Experience working for a luxury institution.

Experience in a sales environment.

The ability to prospect and make cold calls.

Strong knowledge of the travel industry and or private aviation.
